MISSION: The National Capital Area-Society for Public Health Education provides support and leadership in health education and promotion to public health professions in DC, MD, and VA.
VISION: To empower the health of people and families, encouraging communities through the adoption of best practices and healthy lifestyle choices.
ABOUT
In 1987, health educators associated with the School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University founded NCA-SOPHE. NCA-SOPHE partners with SOPHE and other public health organizations
for the purpose of providing leadership and
support to those in the professions of public health education and
health promotion in DC, MD, and VA.
The National Capital Area Society for Public Health Education (NCA-SOPHE) is a 501(c)(3) organization. It is a chapter of the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), an independent professional association of health education professionals and students throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia areas.
